The BGA Tour got underway yesterday with the inaugural Yarra Bend Classic played yesterday followed by a few beers and lunch at The Harp.

We arrived with a dense fog and near zero temperatures. Once the fog lifted and a beautiful day revealed, our bald men proceeded to tear up the Yarra Bend Course, and i mean that literally.

President Buna arrived with his Woods that Ben Hogan would have been proud of and got around the course like an old pro, and i don’t mean professional.

There was some great performances Dimma with 79 off the stick, Horney with a near ace, but unfortunately not on the nearest the pin hole.

After post golf consultation it has been decided round 2 will also be played at Yarra Bend as it is the most convenient. We will look at other venues once we get a core of regulars who will travel.

The next event will be held 26th July from approx 7am with lunch to follow.
